Description
U.S. Government Seeks Sources for Leasing Department of Homeland Security San Diego, CA Project No. 4CA0383 AMOUNT: The General Services Administration (GSA) desires to lease approximately 13,197 rentable square feet of contiguous office and related space yielding a minimum of 11,476 ANSI/BOMA Office Area (previously usable) square feet. The offered building should include the ability to provide a combination of office, general storage, and light industrial space. The lease must also provide for forty (40) inside and one hundred (100) outside parking spaces. Five (5) of the forty (40) inside spaces shall be for large government owned vehicles. TENANT: Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection LOCATION: The area of consideration is in San Diego, CA within the area bounded by Highway 52 on the north; Highway 67 on the east; Interstate 8 on the south; and Interstate 805 on the west. REQUIRED: The space must be in an office/flex building and section of the city that is professional and prestigious in appearance, well-maintained and of modern design and/or tastefully rehabilitated to modern use with access to public transportation. The tenant is a specialized Border Patrol Unit (BPU) requiring a large amount of parking. The space must meet or be capable of being altered to meet the Government's requirements for ADA compliance, and seismic safety. Offers for new construction will require the building to be set-back from the street. There should be, as determined by the GSA Contracting Officer, adequate public parking, public transportation, eating facilities, and other services such as retail shops, banks, and cleaners in the area.
