Description
This information is for solicitation SP0100-06-R-0009. The item description is TROUSERS, ARMY COMBAT UNIFORM (ACU). The applicable lead NSN for this procurement is 8415-01-519-8277(s). The military specification is FQ/PD 04-05A dated 8 February 2005 and pattern dated 7 February 2005. The purchase quantity is minimum 144,000 pairs/maximum 216,000 pairs with a base and (4) one year option periods. Delivery will be to DDSP New Cumberland, PA. Delivery will be in 12-monthly increments of approximately 15,000 pairs per month with a production lead time of 180 days after date of award. All materials used in the fabrication of the end item are to be furnished by the contractor. This solicitation will be issued as a Competitive 8(a) Set-Aside that will result in a firm fixed price contract. This is a best value acquisition with Source Selection Procedures. The following technical factors will be utilized in descending order of importance: Product Demonstration Model (PDM), Experience/Past Performance, and DLA Mentoring Business Agreement. The following notes apply: 1, 9, 12 and 23. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense Appropriations and Authorization Acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment?) impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
