- ***************Contact Charles Krips KripsCG@state.gov*****703 875-6426**************** The U.S. Department of State (DOS), Office of Logistics Management, on behalf of the Office of Overseas Buildings Operations, is seeking a qualified A/E firm, joint venture or other such entity, to provide comprehensive A/E design and services during construction for a new U.S. Consulate compound in Guangzhou, China. This is a design-bid-build project. The new consulate compound will include an Office building of approximately 10,000 gsm, a ?General Services? Annex and Warehouse of approximately 2,800 gsm; Marine Security Guard Quarters (MSQ) of approximately 630 gsm; a utility building; recreational facilities; compound access control facilities; and site improvements. The site is approximately three hectares in area. The estimated construction cost is between $70 and $100 million. The estimated award date of the A/E contract is mid-July 2006 with a design duration of approximately 12 months. Award of the construction contract is planned for FY-2007. The A/E contract will be fixed price, with a fixed construction budget.
