- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting market research to identify businesses capable of providing labor, materials, and equipment to perform testing of the existing piping system at the VA Medical Center for the compliance with NFPA 99, NFPA 50, CGA, and ANSI. (1) Recommendations: (a) The inspections will include but are not limited to: Medical Gas supply sources, (b) master and area alarms. (2) Emergency shut-off valves: (a) patient terminal outlets. (3) Central production equipment: and gaseous and particulate contamination to the piped medical gas systems. (4) The systems to be tested include: (a) oxygen, (b) medical air; (c) nitrous oxide, (d) nitrogen, (e) vacuum. (5)The outlets are included in this cost. (6) Maintenance shall be performed by: (a) A competent, factory-trained technicians, experienced, and Certified to work on this equipment. (7) Service shall be performed under guidance of the Electrical Shop supervisor or his designee. (8) A written service report shall be submitted outlining the service and preventive maintenance performed and completed within two weeks. All test results and any paperwork relevant to work performed at the VA Medical Center. Businesses should be a regular suppliers of this services and must be able to start work within 10-15 days after receipt of the contract to the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center Wade Park Division, 10701 East Blvd. Cleveland, OH 44106. Successful contractors may be required to subcontract to local business to carry out this contract. Hours of work are from 8-4:30:pm Monday thru Friday and excluding Federal Holidays. After hours work will be scheduled. This request is for sources sought. The Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Administration Medical Center intends to procure goods and services for the above listed items. A determination to compete this proposed contract is based on the responses to this notice is within the discretion of the government. The anticipated date of award is November 18, 2005. Business should respond with their capabilities in writing.
