- Description
- The US Army at Picatinny Arsenal has a need to purchase an ultra high resolution scanning electron microscope (FESEM) capable of delivering high quality imaging solutions for the many demanding applications in the field of materials science and nano technology. The FESEM will require a Schottky field emission source to overcome the weaknesses associated with cold field emission sources. The instrument must have a crossover free column design for an uncompromised easy-to-use capability, and to obtain superior imaging especially at very low energies. The FESEM shall be flexible to accept all kinds of materials and provide stability and higher probe current for applications such as energy dispersive x-ray analysis. The equipment must be integrated with a turbo molecular pump to maintain high level of cleanliness in the column and detectors. POC for this action is William Sharp, 973-724- 7144. See Note 25
