Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, intends to award a Firm Fixed contract for fabricating twelve sets of new steel sea lion exclusions devices (SLEDs) for Bonneville Dam Project, Cascade Locks, Oregon. Each set is comprised of sectio ns that stack and bolt together. The sections are comprised of horizontal and vertical members. These members are comprised of steel plate and pipe bent and welded to approximate an airfoil shape. Four sets of SLEDs when bolted together are approximatel y 36 feet tall by 12 feet wide by 16 inches deep. Four sets of SLEDs when bolted together are approximately 30 feet tall by 15 feet wide by 16 inches deep. Four sets of SLEDs when bolted together are approximately 30 feet tall by 10 feet wide by 16 inche s deep. The SLEDs are comprised of welded ASTM A36 steel plate and shapes, ASTM A500 steel tube, and ASTM A53 pipe. Tentatively, the Contractor will be responsible for delivering the first three sets of SLEDs to the Bonneville Second Powerhouse located i n the state of Washington by February 15, 2006. Tentatively, the Contractor will be responsible for delivering the remaining three sets of SLEDs to the Bonneville First Powerhouse located in the state of Oregon by March 1, 2006. The Government will pr ovide crane assistance for offloading the bulkheads. The Request for Quote will be available on or about November 2, 2005 with a tentative due date for proposals on or about November 18, 2005. The contact is anticipated to be awarded by November 23, 2005 . This procurement is open to small business concerns.
