- Description
- Intent to Establish a Qualified Manufacturers List for High Pressure, High Flowrate Flow Measurement Services The above referenced notice is hereby amended to incorporate technical information, and clarify terms. The due date for responses, is hereby extended as follows: FROM: November 4, 2005 TO: November 17, 2005. 1. Paragraph 5 reads: Such access is required in a timely manner, and will utilize the operating and technical expertise of the supplier?s personnel to safely and effectively operate the facilities for the purpose of establishing flowrate measurement standards and the calibration of flow meters in a range of sizes. The term timely takes two aspects. The first is reponse to the initial request by NIST for a slot in the supplier?s schedule at the facility. This timeline should be less than 2 weeks (10 working days) from the time NIST initially places the request. The second is the actual slot in the facility schedule, which could be of two classes, short turnaround time and normal. SHORT TURNAROUND TIME: Mounting of the meter to be tested should begin within two weeks or less of the time of the initial official request and testing procedures at the facility should be completed with minimal delay (i.e. a good faith effort by the supplier to complete the testing schedule requested by the customer. NORMAL TURNAROUND TIME: The supplier provides scheduling for testing time in accordance with with their normal schedule and requires no particular measures to expedite the testing procedures. 2. Paragraph 8 begins: Measurement uncertainty documentation for the flow measurement standards and facilities ? both tiers. The last sentence is hereby changed to read as follows: Such requirements are available upon request or may be found at www.cstl.nist.gov/div836 under ?Measurement Standards and Instrument Calibration Services?.
