Description
AEDC has the following requirement for two APTU Nozzles. The work will include fabrication and assembly of two aerodynamic nozzle throat sections to be used in an aerodynamic test facility. One nozzle throat is for Mach 5 test conditions and the other is for Mach 6. Each nozzle is water-cooled, multi-component assembly approximately 27? outside diameter and 46? in length. The internal throat contour is axisymmetric with an internal diameter that varies from 7? to 25? over the length of the assembly. The throat contour must be machined to tolerances of plus or minus .001?. The accuracy of machining must be verified at approximately 300 contour points in addition to normal dimensional verifications. Ability to machine and verify to these tolerances is a critical requirement. The nozzles are to be fabricated from copper beryllium and other metals. The internal water passages are approximately 0.812? in diameter of various lengths. Delivery of the Mach 5 nozzle is required within 6 months after contract award. The Mach 6 nozzle is required within 8 months after contract award. The solicitation document contains information that has been designated as "Militarily Critical Technical Data." Only businesses that have been certified by the Department of Defense, United States/Canada Joint Certification Office, and have a valid requirement may have a copy of the solicitation document. All requests for copies of the solicitation document must include a certified copy of DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement.
