Description
The U.S. Army, ARDEC, Picatinny, NJ is seeking information and data on a Commercial Off The Shelf(COTS)computational fluid dynamics software package. This software shall have the following capabilities: 1. Variety of flow regimes incuding steady and transient, laminar Newtonian flow, turbulent flow, incompressible and compressible flow, and a variety of boundary conditions. 2. Ability to model combustion and chemical reactions. Combustion to include gaseous, liquid and solid fuels. Chemical reaction models should be coupled with CFD analyses. 3. Heat transfer modeling by convection, conduction, and thermal and solar radiation. 4. Simulation of interactions between solids and fluids, as well as between two or more solids as a fluid is interacting with them. 5. Capability to model advanced fluid flow problems including Eulerian two- phase flow modeling such as flow that could involve gas bubbles, liquid drops, and particle rich flows, as well as multi phase flow and its effects. Also should be capable of modeling subsonic to supersonic flow transitions. 6. Seamless integration with ProEngineer, including the transfer of parts and or assemblies from ProEngineer to the CFD software without causing geometry or other errors. 7. Software should be compatible with SGI Altix multiple CPU computer for parallel solving on multiple processors, as well as on a typical personal computer with Microsoft Windows operating system. Interested vendors shall provide a description of their product(s) along with other available information specifications, b rochures, manuals and other technical data to: US Army, Attn: Mary Krisanda, Contract Specialist, Picatinny Center for Contracting and Commerce, AMSTA-AQ-APD, Building 10, Picatinny, NJ 07806-5000, Email: mkrisa@pica.army.mil.
