- NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation NNG06HI128476Q on a sole source basis for the following items: QTY 1 = OR2800PX, Azimuth Positioner OTY 1 = MT-1000A, Elevation Positioner OTY 1 = LSK-1000A, Limit Switch Kit QTY 1 = Cover, MT-1000A OTY 1 = RC2800PRKX, AZ/EL RS232 Rackmount Controller QTY 1 = H-Frame/Cable Support Routing System QTY 1 = Central Switch Box-Hoffman fiberglass enclosure tower mounted Coaxial Switches, power supplies and all routing cable assemblies and broadband splitter for log periodic antennas. QTY1 = 122CP16A, 120-122 MHz RHC or LHC switching antenna QTY 4 = 406CP30, 406-407 MHz RHC or LHC Switching antenna QTY 2 = 406-4PTPD, 400-410 MHz 4 Port Power Divider QTY 4 = LMR-400 Phasing Cable Assembly (406-407 MHz Yagi) QTY 1 = 243CP26, 242-244 MHz RHC or LHC switching antenna QTY 1 = 243-2PTPD 240-250 MHz, 2 port power divide QTY 2 = LMR-400 Phasing Cable Assembly (242-244 MHz Yagi) QTY 2 = 100450LP System, 100-450 MHz RHC or LHC switching log antenna QTY 2 = LMR-400 Phasing Cable Assembly (100-450 MHz Log) NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from M2 Antenna Systems, Inc. under authority 10.U.S.C 2304 (C) (1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government requires Yagi Antennas and rotors manufactured from M2 Antennas Systems, Inc. These antennas are of different frequency gain than antennas commonly made by other manufactures. Antennas are custom designed, and the 406 MHZ yagis is the only antennas that will give a half power beamwidth. M2 Antennas Inc. is the only known manufacturer that can meet these specifications. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 11/01/2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
