Description

NOTICE OF INTENT. The Department of Veterans Affaris Medical Center, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, North Carolina intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with SimplexGrinnell to furnish all labor, material, equipment supplies and qualified supervision to maintain the SimplexGrinnell fire alarm system here at the madical center. Past history revel that only one responsible source can provide the supplies/services that will satisfy the agency requirements. This is not a request for competitive quotes but responses received on or before November 7, 2005 will be evaluated. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and FAR 15. The authority cited and justification made is based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by the equipment available from only one source and no other supplies/service will satisfy the agency requirement. NAICS: 561621. SIZE STANDARD: $10.5. Solicitation packages are not available and no telephone request will be accepted. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
