Description

The Norfolk District is offering for sale approximately 3,702 tons of standing pine sawtimber, 2,748 tons of standing pine pulpwood, 8,163 tons of standing pine chip and saw, 2,009 tons of standing hardwood sawtimber, and 1,106 tons of standing hardw ood pulpwood on approximately 399 acres at Fort A.P. Hill, Bowling Green, Virginia. The total number of items for this sale is two (2). The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers through November 16, 2005. Arrangements for inspecti ons should be made by contacting Mr. Carl Berggren, telephone (804) 633-8431. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., November 17, 2005, by the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, Real Estate Branch, Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of E ngineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096, and then and there publicly opened and announced. Forms for use in submitting bids may be obtained from Mr. Berggren at Fort A.P. Hill or from the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, add ress shown above. Terms and conditions of sale, procedure for submitting bids, and a description of the timber are contained in the bid forms. All items of this sale will be sold by WEIGHT.
