Description: The As-3997 is a commerical Ultra-High Frequency/Very High Frequency (UHF/VHF) antenna used to transmit and receive voice and data in the 225-400 megahertz range. It is used with the AN/ASC-15B radio suite in the UH-60 helicopter. Under the proposed contract, those AS-3997s that cannot be repaired will be replaced with the new AS-3997s. The proposed requirement is for a five-year, firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for repairs and new hardware. The minimum guaranteed buy under the first delivery order is 8 each hardware and/or repairs. Govenment intends to award a sole source contract to Chelton, Ltd. See Numbered Note 22.
