Description

Sources Sought. NAVFAC MID LANT is currently seeking potential sources for Annual Maintenance and Construction of the Railroad, Ground Level and Elevated Crane Rail Systems at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia. The scope of work includes all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, safety, surveys, scoping, layout work, testing, and management necessary to provide and secure installation, maintenance, repair, and construction of railroad systems, ground level, elevated crane rail systems and incidental related type work throughout the Shipyard and its Annexes. This is a Requirements Contract. This Request for Proposal (RFP) will be for a period of one year. The Government may extend the term of the contract for a period of one to twelve months. The total duration, including the exercise of any options, shall not exceed 36 months. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237990 and the size standard is $28,500,000.00. This is not a request for proposal and no solicitation is available at this time. A market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources from any 8(a), Service Disabled, HUBZone, or Small Business Firms. All interested parties are invited to respond by registering at www.esol.navfac.navy.mil to download the markey survey file. The due date for reponses is 15 November 2005.
