- The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a requirement for the provision of a Radiologist to provide radiological reading and interpretation services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC) located in Marianna, Florida 32446. The small business size standard for this requirement is $8.5 million and the NAICS is 621111. The contractor shall be responsible for, but not limited to: radiological reading and interpretation services, all supplies and equipment required at the off-site location, pickup and delivery of x-ray films, and providing type-written reports within five working days. It is estimated that the contractor will perform 1,962 radiology interpretations per year. The contractor shall be a licensed radiologist from any one state within the United States. The contract period will consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The work is expected to start on or about February 1, 2006. A Government proposal to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information provided to the Government. The Market Research Survey Questionnaire will be available on or about October 27, 2005, and will be distributed solely through General Service Administration, Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. The response date for the market survey is November 3, 2005. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone request or written request for the market survey will be accepted.
