- The Department of State, Office of Acquisitions, intends to award a sole source purchase order to BSR, Inc., P.O. Box 190, Summit Point, WV 25446 for Defensive Driver Training Services in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) and Commercial Items, FAR Part 12. The period of performance for this award is for 6 months: November 2005 ? May 2006. BSR, Inc. is the only known source located within Department of State?s distance requirement of an 80-mile radius. The Department of State is awarding this sole source as a bridge action while the Department of State completes its competitive acquisition process through Solicitation No. S-AQMPD-O6-R-1002 which will be posted on or about November 4, 2005. Solicitation No. S-AQMPD-06-R-1002 is the replacement for Solicitation No. SAQMPD05R1096 which was previously cancelled. Requirements for the submission of proposals will be specified in Solicitation No. S-AQMPD-06-R-1002. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
