- Description
- Seeking sources to provide maintenance and repair services for the Land Mobile Radio Systems (LMRS), internal paging system, and cellular signal enhancement system at the National Gallery of Art. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, tools, supervision, and management required to provide testing, adjustments, repairs, cleaning, and operational checks of communication equipment and devices at the Gallery in accordance with the specifications provided herein. The National Gallery of Art utilizes a conventional two-way radio communication system, paging system, and cellular telephone signal distribution for its facilities. The communication systems comply with the NTIA narrow band requirements and consist of an RF radio site and an in-building distributed antenna system for RF coverage for LMRS portable radio, pager, and coverage enhancement for (Nextel) cell phone services throughout the Gallery. The radio site equipment has VHF narrow band repeaters, UHF narrow band repeater, UHF Narrow band simplex base station, VHF paging transmitter, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), etc. The site also houses a VHF/UHF combiner/multicoupler antenna system, power splitters, and miscellaneous hardware. The distributed antenna system utilizes 7/8-inch heliax cable, 7/8-inch Plenum rated radiax cable, ?-inch Plenum rated radiax cable, voting receivers, signal boosters, and bi-directional amplifiers for cell coverage, taps, splitters, and antennas. The period of performance will be from the date of award through the end of the fiscal year with four (4) one year options. A solicitation will be released on or about November 9, 2005.
