Description

The USCG ISC Honolulu proposes to contract the Weather Deck Non-Skid Coating Renewal of the 01 deck for USCGC Walnut (WLB 205), which is geographically restricted to the cutter?s homeport at Coast Guard Integrated Support Command (ISC) Honolulu, Hawaii. The vessel?s performance period will be 16 November 2005 and completion date no later than 04 December 2005. The repair anticipated involves the following work items: Port 01 deck from frame 54 aft to frame 92 from inboard BKHD to outboard rail, 300 Sq Ft; STBD 01 deck from frame 54 aft to frame 92 from inboard BKHD to outboard rail, 300 Sq Ft; Fantail deck from BKHD 92 aft to tow rail at frame 110 to port and STDBD outboard rails; approximately 1350 Sq Ft. This would include a near white blast (SSPC-SP10/NACE No. 2) or power tool clean (SSPC-SP11). Coating system includes one coat of Inorganic Zinc, one coat of tie coat primer, one coat of roll-on Epoxy Non-Skid and one coat of Epoxy Polysiloxane. Contractor?s facilities must be located in Hawaii to be considered responsive. The acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The resulting contract will be Firm-Fixed-Price and will be inclusive of labor and materials. This a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A statement that the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-06; FAR Provision 52.212-2 applies; evaluation factors will be price and past performance and these factors are substantially equal. As a minimum, offerors must achieve a satisfactory evaluation for past performance in accordance with FAR Part 15.305(2). This procurement is set aside for small businesses.
