Description
ANNOUNCEMENT TO: Prospective Proposers RE: Afghanistan: Building Codes Technical Assistance Reference No. 200581040A SUBJECT: Amendment to the Request for Proposals DATE: Wednesday, October 26, 2005 This announcement serves to inform prospective proposers on the above-referenced project an amendment to the subject Request for Proposals (RFP) and to add the phone information for the Grantee. Phone information has been added to facilitate delivery of proposal packages to Kabul by international express companies. Amendment No. 1: The deadline for the submissions of proposals has been extended. Proposals should be submitted in English directly to the Grantee by 4:00 P.M. Local Time, November 10, 2005. Section 2.13 of the RFP package shall now read as follows: The Cover Letter in the proposal must be addressed to: His Excellency Minister Mahommad Yousof Pashtun, Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, Microrayan #3, Kabul, Afghanistan Phone: +93 70 298-280 An Original and eight (8) copies of your proposal must be received at the above address no later than 4:00 PM, on November 10, 2005. Proposals may be either sent by mail, overnight courier, or hand-delivered. Whether the proposal is sent by mail, courier or hand-delivered, the Offeror shall be responsible for actual delivery of the proposal to the above address before the deadline. Major international express companies report that delivery to Kabul, Afghanistan from the United States takes approximately 5 business days and that inclusion of an electronic copy of a proposal will delay delivery by 24 hours or more. Any proposal received after the deadline will be returned unopened. Upon timely receipt, all proposals become the property of the Grantee.
