- The U.S. Army TACOM-Picatinny, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ has a requirement for the manufacturing of six canvas cloth items - breech cover assembly, muzzle brake cover assembly, assistant gunner???s display cover, gunner???s display cover, sun shade, and muzzle & breech boresight case. A firm fixed price base purchase order with three options shall be used for this acquisition utilizing 100% Small Business Set-Aside procedures. The quantity requirement shall be up to 555 breech cover assemblies, 555 muzzle brake cover assemblies, 639 assistant gunner???s display cover, 639 gunner???s display cover, 1,228 sun shades, and 599 muzzle & breech boresight cases are expected to be required over a thirty month period of performance. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded in the January 2006 time frame with a base quantity and three (3) options, with deliveries occurring in May 06, Mar 07, Nov 07, and Jun 08. A Pre-Proposal Conference is planned at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ in early December (tentatively December 1, 2005) to address questions and to allow potential offerors to see an example of the canvas cloth items. The competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at the following Internet address: http://procnet.pica.army.mil on or about fifteen (15) days from date of this announcement. Proposals will be required less than thirty (30) days of date of release of the RFP.
