- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is soliciting sources for a Service Agreement for Portable Fire Extinguisher Preventive Maintenance Service for fiscal year 2006 with one (1) year plus four (4) option year. The contractor shall provide personnel, materials and equipment required to perform the periodic preventative maintenance (PM), repairs and service calls related to operational readiness of all the portable fire extinguishers at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The PMs shall be performed annually and at intervals as required by NFPA 10 for dry chemical, C02 and water-pressure fire extinguishers. The contractor shall repair any portable fire extinguisher deficiencies in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes and standards. (SEE ATTACHED WORK STATEMENT). The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business (see numbered note 1). The applicable North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code 333999, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The request for quotation (RFQ) number is RFQ-06-0084. Delivery shall be made within 30 days after receipt of purchase order. Deliver terms are F.O.B. Destination to Bureau of Engraving & Printing, 14th and C Street S W, Washington D C 20228. The resulting purchase order shall be firm fixed price. The basis for award shall be price. All interested small business is requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Quotation may be submitted on a SF1449, SF18 or on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number. DUNS numbers, size status (that is small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business). If this item is available under GSA Schedule, please provide the schedule number. Quotations are due by 2:30 P.M. on November 09, 2006.
