Description

The USDA Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Research Station Lab located in Olympia, WA, has a requirement for tree measurement services to be performed on various plots located in the Wind River Experimental Forest. Services to complete under this project include measuring trees for dbh, height, height-to-live crown (HLC), crown width, and coding all trees for condition or damage. The Government is prepared to proceed with the issuance of a solicitation, Request for Quotations (RFQ), restricted to small business concerns. Offers will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Each contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the Government. The estimated start work date for this project is September 1, 2005. All field work is to be completed by May 15, 2006, with required electronic data files to be submitted by June 2, 2006. The Service Contract Act will apply to any contract awarded. The project contract type is firm fixed-price. The applicable NAICS is 115310 with a corresponding size standard of 6.0 million. The tentative date for release of the solicitation is July 29, 2005. Offers are due by August 18, 2005. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract.
