- NASA/ARC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for the purchase of an IP/ ISDN based videotelephony module and installation of Video Conference Equipment for the NASA Digital Learning Network. The equipment must have the following capabilities: Module must be able to connect 6 video and 5 audio sites; Module must be able to transmit up to 4 Mbps using H.323 and incorporate H.264 video; Module must have video resolution of 4CIF with 1 Auto-tracking camera based on voice, including connection cables; Module must have 3 microphone inputs, and 3 RCA line inputs; Module must have 11 video inputs; Module must include a Remote Presenter control of the host module, and connection cables; 50? Plasma screen, stand for screen (at least 4 ft. in height), and connection cables; Podium for presenter (at least 4ft wide, 5ft tall, 3ft in depth, with 3 shelves and 1 power-strip bar); Ceiling mounted microphone including mounts and connection cables at least 20 ft in length; Security interface for the module; Hi-resolution document camera connected to module, including connection cables; Quad ISDN bridge. NASA-Ames requires the installation of the above items at the NASA Digital Learning Network located at NASA-Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA. NASA-Ames requires coordination with equipment at other NASA centers, using similar equipment. NASA-Ames requires an initial 2 day on-site usage training for up to 5 NASA-Ames personnel, including but not limited to: programming, customizing and control of module; and 5 year maintenance, including replacement of parts and onsite visits for repair. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offeror?s responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. This requirement is considered to be a commercial type product. This synopsis is for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business or 8(a) set-aside based on responses hereto.
