- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for COMMERCIAL ITEMS in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicita tion; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis/solicitation is a Request For Proposal (RFP), W15P7T-06-R-N202. The small size standard is 750 people for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334290. The U.S. Army intends to procure (20) twenty Dual Fiber Optic Modem, NSN 6030-01-491-1956, MOOG part number 106700. The Dual Fiber Optic Modem, DualFOM, is a rugged, field-exposed unit that provides long distance tactical communications over Tactical Fiber Optic Cable Assemblies, TFOCAs. System capacity is two fiber optic links. Each link supports conditioned diphase group signals from 72 kbps to 4608 kbps. The DualFOM is compatible with standard CX-11230 connectors on the equipment side. On the cable side , standard TFOCA connectors are used.. This procurement will be made on a sole source basis to MOOG component Group. Shipments are to be FOB Destination. All items are to be shipped to: W25G1U TAC 1 XU TRANSPORTATION OFFICER DDSP NEW CUMBERLAND FACILITY BUILDING MISSION DOOR 113 134 NEW CUMBERLAND, PA. 17070-5001 Delivery shall be made within 120 days after contract award. Packaging and Packing shall be in accordance with Standard Practice for Commercial Packaging (ASTM D 3951-98). BASIS FOR AWARD: The Government intends to make an award on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b) (2). However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be evaluated.
