Description

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intend to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with Sterling Commerce (America, Inc.) to procure ?Commercial Items? maintenance (inclusive of proprietary version and release upgrades, software defect correction, and 24 x 7 x 365 day phone support) for owned copies of Connect Direct software. The term will be for a one year period from date of award, with the option of one additional year. The Connect:Direct (OS390) software is installed at the CMS Data Center, as well as at the Intermediary/Carrier Medicare data processing sites. The procurement will be conducted under other than full and open competition, under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1). If no affirmative written documentation is received within (7) calendar days of this synopsis, CMS will proceed with negotiations to issue a contract to Sterling Commerce(America), Inc.
