- Description
- Our highest priority is to obtain any one or more of 22 steroids (named below) wherein the steroid is substituted with stable isotopes as specified in the following paragraphs. Also of potential interest are glucuronide or additional sulfate conjugates of these steroids that meet the specifications outlined. List of 22 Steroids Estrone; 17B-Estradiol; 2-hydroxyestrone; 2-hydroxyestradiol; 4-hydroxyestrone; 4-hydroxyestradiol; 16a-hydroxyestrone; 16-keto-17B-estradiol; 2-methoxyestrone; 2-methoxyestradiol; 2-hydroxyestrone-3-methyl ether; 4-methoxyestrone; Estriol; 16-epiestriol; 17-epiestriol; Estrone-3-sulfate; Progesterone; Testosterone; Androstenedione; Dehydroepiandrosterone; Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulfate; 4-Methoxyestradiol Offerors shall provide the structure, including the specific labeling pattern, of the compound(s) that will be supplied. Offerors may propose to provide one or more of the desired compounds. Likewise, contracts may be awarded to multiple offerors for the provision of one or more of the compounds. Compounds supplied under this solicitation shall meet the following criteria: molecular weight (MW) of each supplied sample must be at least 3 Da greater than that of the natural material. A full mass spectrum shall be provided confirming that no more than 2% of the total mass appears at MWs smaller than that of the natural material plus 3, even after dissolution in pH 9 aqueous medium for 10 minutes at 60 degrees C. Samples provided under this solicitation shall be accompanied by HPLC traces with UV or ideally with evaporative light scattering detection to confirm satisfactory chemical purity. Glucuronide and sulfate conjugates will preferably have the heavy isotope incorporated into the steroid nucleus rather than the glucuronide or sulfate residue, however offers for conjugate-labeled isotopomers will be considered. The preferred amount of each compound is at least 0.1 g, however offers for smaller quantities will be considered.
