Description

The Philadelphia VA Medical Center is seeking a qualified laundry contractor. The contractor must be able to provide laundry services to the Hospital and NHCU. The contractor must have the ability to provide laundry services for the following ESTIMATED annual quantities of (soiled pounds): Hospital General linen _ 1,075,617 lbs., NHCU General Linen, 800,667lbs, Patient Personal Clothing _ 57,000lbs. Services shall included a seven day delivery of clean linen (Par) and pick up of soiled linen for pick-up and delivery to the loading dock of Building #1 and the loading dock of the NHCU five (5) days per week (Monday _ Friday) or six day delivery and pick up of clean and soiled linen (Par) (Mon-Saturday) six days per week and a turn-around processing time of twenty-four (24) hours. The NAICS (North American Industry Classifications System) code is 812331. The contract period shall for one (1) year (base year) with four (4) one year options. The solicitation package can be downloaded on 10-28-05. All Bids are DUE on 11-18-05 @ 3:30 P.M.
