- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to make a sole source purchase for a 4-Corner PDCue 4-Corner Vehicle Gunfire Detection System from AAI Corporation, PO Box 126, Hunt Valley, MD 21030-0126. This is the only known device that can meet the Government?s minimum requirements for a low profile acoustic detection system. This item will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The closing date is 8 Nov 05 with an anticipated award date of 9 Nov 05. All items are to be priced FOB Destination. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. DOD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database.
