- Notice is for pending solicitation re: Contract for Baton Rouge Ambulance Service. Requirements as follows: Requirements Statement Ambulance Service is required to support the State of Louisiana and be made available on a 24 hour a day basis. Ambulances shall be fully staffed with the usual and customary medical personnel and supplies. Period of Performance: November 5, 2005 through December 5, 2005 Option Period: December 6, 2005 through January 5, 2006* *Option to be exercised at the sole discretion of the contracting officer. Number of Ambulances: 39 Report and Dispatch: All ambulances must report to and be dispatched by the Louisiana Office of Public Health Emergency Medical Services (LAOPHEMS). Staging area shall be located in Baton Rouge, LA. Ambulances may be dispatched to any location within Louisiana, but shall not respond to any location outside the State of Louisiana without prior approval of the LAOPHEMS. Contractor shall maintain the ambulances in an appropriate condition to be dispatched at all times with appropriate medical personnel to respond to a medical emergency. Emergency personnel shall meet all applicable requirements for the State of Louisiana. The contractor shall provide the contracting officer with a complete listing of names, certification of personnel, and Vehicle Identification Numbers within 5 days of award. The Service Contract Act applies to this acquisition. Wage Determination No. 94-2231 (Revision 25), dated 5/23/05 is applicable to this procurement. A copy of this Wage Determination can be located on www.wdol.gov. Evaluation Criteria: The contract shall be awarded to the offeror representing the best value to the Government, considering price and technical factors. Offerors shall provide a sample listing of their most recent clients for work consisting of comparable service (at least three). Per the requirements of the Stafford Act, preference shall be given to Louisiana firms.
