Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Great Lakes Region (GLR) is seeking competent and qualified contractors to perform the replacement of an existing Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) SEE ATTACHMENT for expanded scope of work (SOW). The estimated price range is between $100,000. and $200,000., with an estimated performance of 30 days and an anticiapted construction start of Spring 2006. NAICS is 23820. Award of a firm-fixed-price contract is being contemplated to a responsible offeror who submits the responsive offer for this requirement. Small Businesses, 8(a)Certified Businesses and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses are strongly encouraged to consider this opportunity. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvanted individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire captial and bonding assistance for tansportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The Dot Bonding Assitance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and preformancebonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT prvides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
