Presolicitation Notice Date Submitted: 3 November 2005 2005 OC-ALC/448 PSG/PKB DIR CONTRACTING/PROPULSION 3001 STAFF DR STE 1AC1/112A TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OK 73145-3032. Arm, Compressor SOL FA8104-05-R-0036. Item 0001 NSN: 2840-00-343-7627NZ, P/N: 4026733. Item Description: Serves as a linkage btw compressor inlet vane control cylinder and stator vane synchronizing ring. Dimensions are as follows: 2.495 in. long X .462 in. wide Predominant Material of Manufacture: Titanium Alloy. Applicable to: F100 Engine. Destination: Tinker Air Force Base Delivery: 359 EA May 2006. Quantity: 359 EA FIRST ARTICLE TESTING is required. New Material Solicited, New/Unused Surplus material acceptable. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 18 Nov 2005. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 19 Dec 2005. The anticipated award date will be 6 Jan 2006. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
