Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item service. This is a total small business set aside requirement, including NAICS of 532120 with size standard of $12,500,000.00. Offers shall be received no later than the offer due date/time of 14 November 2005/ 2 p.m. Hawaiian Standard Time via email to Ms. Bu ckner or facsmile at (808)438-8588. Description of requirements is as follows: Contractor shall provide a safe and operable vehicle with insurance (See FAR Clause 52.228-8 -Liability and Insurance-Leased Motor Vehicles (May 1999) and maintenance servic es through 30 September 2006. The vehicle is required to transport personnel who will conduct natural and cultural resources survey for military projects on Army training ranges. These project areas include Army training ranges that include uneven dirt r oads with holes and ruts, and irregular, rugged, steep terrain. The Contractor shall provide one (1) 4 x 4 with an extended cab, 4-passenger, 4 door, air conditioner, radio, automatic transmission, and high profile off road tires. Contractor shall provid e maintenance as follows: Provide specified vehicle and all services required to keep the vehicle in a safe and operational condition. Perform prescribed maintenance service accomplished on a calendar, mileage, or hours-of-operation basis. Perform unsched uled maintenance to correct deficiencies and to restore the vehicle or equipment to a serviceable condition. Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at a designated facility and shall provide all parts, labor, and expertise necessary to complete required maintenance tasks. Tasks include oil change, motor tune-up, repair flat tires, manufacturer recalls, and all other functions necessary to maintain the vehicle in good operational condition. Parts include those items that must be replaced due to fair wear and tear such as windshield wipers, tires, headlamps, filters, fluids, and lubricants. Pick up the vehicle anywhere on the Island of Hawaii for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and return of the vehicle to the operator upon completion . Upon proper notification, recover disabled vehicle. The Contractor shall respond to a trouble call within one hour of notification. If repairs cannot be made on-site, an equal replacement vehicle shall be provided to the Government at no additional cos t. If no replacement vehicle is provided, the Contractor shall be only paid for actual time of usage.
