- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to negotiate with Everest VIT for the upgrade/retrofit of six (6) of the Video-probes (P/N XL620) currently supporting the F-18, The upgrade is required to improve the Video-probe?s viewing resolution, and high temperature capability. The upgrade will also improve the probe?s ruggedness, and the cost of ownership. The upgrade/retrofit program includes doubling the viewing resolution, higher temperature capability, improve the charged coupled device (CCD) crush resistance, power tube ruggedization, improve the insertion tube?s crush resistance, and improved carrying case. The upgraded video probes shall be capable of performing all of current depot, intermediate, and organizational safety of flight borescope inspections on F404 and F414 turbofan engines. See note 22.
