- THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION, IT IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). NASA does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this information, but hopes to formulate a requirement for Gaseous Helium (GHe) Pressurization System System Regulator based on the need for this type of technology and its feasibility based upon the responses to this request for information (RFI). This RFI is for internal NASA planning purposes only, and seeks to provide industry and academia the opportunity to verify the reasonableness and feasibility of the prospective requirements. This Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain information from manufacturers of gaseous helium (GHe) regulators regarding the costs and delivery times required to design, analyze, build and test a regulator per the requested specifications. Please see the attached file entitled "RFI CEV Prototype Gaseous Helium GHe Pressurization System Regulator". Please direct all technical questions to: Victor Spencer, Project Engineer, at 281-483-6438. This RFI has no overall page limit and no response will be excluded from review. ALL PROPRIETARY INFORMATION SHOULD BE MARKED. RESPONSES WILL BE HANDLED ACCORDINGLY. Responses may be submitted either via hard copy to the following address: NASA Johnson Space Center Mail Code EP4 Attn: Victor Spencer 2101 NASA Parkway Houston, TX 77058 OR electronically to the following email address: victor.spencer-1@nasa.gov RESPONSES SHALL BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN COB ON DECEMBER 7, 2005 This Request For Information should not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. Respondents will not be notified of the results. In the event a solicitation is issued, any information related to the solicitation will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
