Description

The 20th Contracting Squadron, Shaw AFB, SC intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with L-3 Communications, Salt Lake City, Ut for the following items: To develop, demonstrate and deliver Improvised Explosive Device Detection, Decoy and Defense System (IED4). Efforts include integration of automated vehicles with ROVER products, multi-channel RF jammers along with training. The authority for this non-competitive award is 41 USC 253?(1) as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement that demonstrates their ability to provide the required equipment. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such documents will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to FA4803-05-QA175 must be in writing. All questions should be directed to Stephen Crooks at stephen.crooks@shaw.af.mil. If no affirmative responses are received by 4:30 PM EST on 8 Nov 05, the Contracting Officer will proceed to issue a contract to L-3 Communications. The NIACS code is 334290.
