The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about November 18, 2005. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This work of this contract includes completing the utility work, structural repairs, mechanical/electrical upgrades, accessibility improvements and fire suppression installation. The principal features of the work include, but are not limited to: Transformation of the existing log cabin into a visitor's center and construct a new freestanding restroom building complete including 4 toilets, 2 sinks in accordance with contract specificaitons and drawings. A SITE VISIT IS SCHEDULED FOR: DECEMBER 1, 2005 AT 9:00 am. Contractors shall meet at 1990 Maintenace Way, Richmond, VA. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is issued pursuant to Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is open to all concerns, regardless of size. The NAICS code is 236220. Bids are due December 19, 2005 at 10:00 am. The construction estimate is between $100,000 and $500,000.
