- Description
- This is a request for information only. There is no solicitation package available. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is seeking sources that may be capable of providing performance based logistics support for all of the US Navy?s Jet Engine Test Instrumentation (JETI) and Shaft Engine Test Instrumentation (SETI) configurations along with the applicable Test Program Sets (TPS?), and includes both hardware and software support. The JETI/SETI systems are comprised of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) components integrated through hardware and Labview software that are packaged into a complete instrumentation and control system that are used to upgrade legacy engine test systems (ETSs). JETI provides the necessary instrumentation, interface, and control for testing of Navy turbojet/fan engines, e.g. the F414 (F/A-18E/F) engine with its state-of-the-art Full Authority Digital Engine Controller (FADEC). JETI also provides the capability to test the following additional aircraft engines: F404-400 (F-18C/D), F404-402 (F-18C/D), and J52 (EA-6B). SETI utilizes similar technology to provide the necessary instrumentation, interface, and control for testing of Navy turbo shaft engines, such as, the T700 (H-60B), T64 (CH-53E), T58 (H-46E) engine. The performance based logistics (PBL) support includes inventory management, performance metric measurement, material handling, warehousing of spares, spares acquisition requirements and spares replenishment, WEB Based Commercial Asset Visibility interface capability, packaging and transportation requirements. The support will also entail obsolescence management, encompass system component repair, and a working knowledge of the JETI/SETI hardware and Labview software interface for system troubleshooting . The Government is looking for potential sources for this requirement. All interested parties should send company and/or descriptive literature as well as any comments or questions to Ms. Cindy Scheper, e-mail: cindy.scheper@navy.mil, fax: (732) 323-2359 or address: Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Contracts, Code 25221CSB562-3C, Hwy 547, Lakehurst, NJ 08733-5082.
