Description
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to award, a sole source purchase order, under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), to Barbara Woodford D/B/A Woodford Consulting, 8883 164th Street, Chippewa Falls, WI. 54729. Simplified Acquisition has a dollar threshold of $100,000,and awards made under SAP are set aside for small businesses. The contractor will provide Home Health Agencies ((HHA) /Hospice/ESRD(End Stage Renal Disease)Consulting Services under the NAICS code of 541990. The contractor is a expert in the field of home health and hospice and will provide technical consultation, conduct analysis of present policy, assist in the development of new policy, participate in teleconferences with the Program Office and conduct training to state and regional office surveyors. The contractor was a state agency surveyor and state OASIS education coordinator. The contractor is knowledgeable of Medicare Regulations and survey processes for HHA and hospices. She is familiar with the operations and certification responsibilities of state agencies. The contractor has been a faculty member of CMS sponsored training courses and was responsible for teaching several modules of the home health basic training courses over the past several years. The contractor also was on the faculty for the CMS hospice train the trainer course. The contractor was also a member of the technical expert panel for Improving Protocols for Home Health Agency Assessment in the Survey Process. The contractor provided assistance to the agency with necessary revisions to our survey process, program manuals, policies, guidelines, training materials and training. One of the contractor unique qualifications is extensive experience in survey and certification activities of home health and hospice providers. The contractor is familiar with the conditions of participation for HHAs and hospices, as well as the OASIS collection, encoding and reporting requirements at the state agency. Contractors desiring consideration must provide an equivalent expertise. Centers For Medicare and Medicaid Services, Program Office, Center For Medicaid State Operations shall make the determination of what would constitute equivalent expertise. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if received within 15 days from the publication date of this notice. In addition,all interested contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Register (CCR) at www.ccr.gov or by calling 888-705-5711.
