Description

Dockside repairs to the NOAA ship KA’IMIMONA. Vessel characteristics: length 224 ft; draft 15 ft; hull – welded steel/ice strengthened; displacement 3,201 tons; gross tonnage 2,014 net tonnage 604. Additional vessel characteristics can be found at www.pmc.noaa.gov/ka. Work will include, but is not limited to main propulsion generator engine overhauls and repairs, emergency diesel generator double walled fuel lines; install, sea water overboard discharge piping; replace, generator room vent duct repair; accomplish, HIAB 120 deck crane inspection and repair, hot water heater; replace, uncontaminated sea water filter bypass; clean MSD system inspect, weather tight doors, repair/replace, portlights; replace, starboard brailing winch; inspect and repair, chilled water system flush; accomplish, uncontaminated sea water piping; inspect, ventilation duct cleaning; accomplish. Work is scheduled to begin on 13 Feb 06 and continue through 17 Mar 06 at the Naval Station in San Diego, CA Ship is available for inspection Honolulu, HI, 11 Oct 05 through 13 Oct 05.
