Description
SUPPLY AND DELIVER TO FCI LORETTO, PA THE FOLLOWING MODULAR WALK IN FREEZER: General Specifications 14' wide X 31' Long X 8' 6 3/4" High Exterior Interior Height 7' Exterior Color - Almond Floor 5 ½" .125 Aluminum Tread plate Exterior Base Trim Kit Door 60" X 78", right hinged with standard closer, door curtain, T.P., kick plate interior and exterior, freezer has heated jamb, door has I-bolt modification. Freezer shall have two(2) 4hp, low, scroll, R404, 208/230/60/3 and require a 30 amp breaker, fused disconnect, roof mounted compressor, electric defrost, thru roof piping, designed to maintain -10 degrees at 100 degrees ambient temperature assuming products enter at 0 degrees with moderate door traffic. Freezer will have (8) fluorescent light fixtures, four(4) foot long with two(2) bulbs. (bulbs not included) Roof slope - one way width UL listed- “commercial walk in unit” Refrigeration system R-01, designed to maintain -10 degrees at 105 degrees ambient. One-piece walk-in freezer shall be factory preassembled and test run; installer will off-load the unit onto the concrete slab prepared by owner. Vendors responsibility includes assembly and installation of the walk-in, roof, refrigeration equipment, lights, condensate heater, and door heaters. Each building unit shall consist of an inner and outer metal pan. The exterior pans shall be of tongue and groove construction to provide continuous sealing along the entire joint. Floors’ walls and roofs shall have a full 4 inches foamed-in-place insulation. All partition walls shall have a full 4 inches foamed-in-place insulation and thermal breaks to prevent condensation and heat transfers between compartments. There shall be no use of sealing or caulking materials in food zone of the walk-in freezer for any purpose. The thermal conductivity (K) shall not exceed 14 (BTU) (IN) / (HR) (Sq. Ft.) (F). The thermal resistance ®) factor shall not be less than 28 in exterior walls, partition walls , and floor, and not less than 35 to 50 in the roof. (depending on the slope of the roof) The insulation shall be U.L. or F.M. listed class1 having a flame spread of not more than 20, and smoke developed of less than 300. Doors shall be 4" thick and insulated with poured in place insulation of the same specification as used in the walls. Standard door frame construction shall consist of a steel jamb with 1/4" steel hardware mounting plates(foamed/formed) in place in door jamb to prevent twisting, racking or warping of the door jamb assembly. Doors opening into the freezer compartment shall be supplied with the door frame heaters which shall supply sufficient heat to prevent condensation or frost accumulation. Standard size and pass door shall be supplied with a thermoplastic balloon type, magnetic gasket around perimeter. Flush bottom doors shall be provided with adjustable vinyl sweep gasket. When door is closed it shall form a positive airtight seal. Door gaskets shall be installed in retainer strips to provide a thermal break and or easy replacement in the field. Door shall incorporate a positive snap action latch with adjustable strike. The latch shall be equipped with inside safety release mechanism to prevent accidental or malicious entrapment. The hardware shall be chrome finished and mounted with stainless steel tamper proof fasteners. Doors shall be equipped with two heavy duty strap type door hinges. A vapor proof toggle switch for lights mounted adjacent to the door. A two inch dial thermometer shall be supplied at entry door. Door shall have a strip curtain for the purpose of keeping limited amounts of ambient air from entering the walk-in freezer during loading. APPROVALS The walk- in shall be in conformance with the following: a) International Conference of Building Codes (ICBO) b) Southern Building Code Congress International (SBCCI) c) Building Officials Congress Association (BOCA) d) National Electrical Code (NEC) FINISHES The interior wall and ceiling finish shall be .040" stucco embossed aluminum. The exterior wall finish shall be .032. minimum embossed aluminum with baked on polyester finish. The interior floor finish shall be: a) .125 Aluminum The equipment provided under this specification shall be factory prefabricated and of unitized design. Design shall allow for installation without assembly and for relocation without disassembly. All light fixtures and optional accessory wiring to be concealed in wall or ceiling and to be factory installed and tested for proper operation prior to shipment. A sectional 1 ½" standing seam type roof shall be factory installed to provide a waterproof covering over the ceiling assembly of the walk-in. The roof shall overlap the exterior finish siding on all penetrations other than a waterproof roof boot. The roof shall not be less than 24 gauge. The roof shall carry the unit manufacturer’s five (5) years material and labor-repair or replacement warranty. The refrigeration unit shall be wired to run on 208-230V/60Hz/3ph. ** One(1) piece Modular freezer to be delivered to FCI Loretto, set up and made fully functional.
