- The U.S. Department of Energy intends to award a sole source contract to Dialog, a Division of Thomson Scientific, Inc., of Arlington, Virginia for commercial timesharing services. The contract will provide access with a powerful search capability to over 280 data bases covering virtually every subject area. The information available on Dialog includes a directory-type listing of companies, associations or famous people, and an in-depth financial statement for a particular company. The proposed contract is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties that feel they can provide these services may respond by submitting their capability statement, including prices, to the email address listed below. All submissions must be received within fifteen (15) days of the publication date in this notice.
