Description

The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award up to four Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for a period of five years on a full and open competitive basis. The purpose of this presolicitation notice is to inform potential offerors that the Government requires solid-state flight recorders in support of Department of Defense developmental and operational flight test requirements. These recorders will be used on a variety of weapon system platforms. The standard data recorder shall comply with the data format specified within the IRIG standards, IRIG 106, Chapter 10. At a minimum the units must have the ability of recording device to simultaneously record any two (2) channel types (MIL-STD-1553, PCM, Video) in addition to synchronization with external IRIG time IAW IRIG-106 requirements. At a minimum, data types shall consist of two dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 channels, two video input channels, or two PCM channels with programmable rates from 1-20 MBS. This announcement is for information purposes only. It does not constitute a Solicitation or Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The announcement number to reference is FA2823-06-R-0001. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334511, and is a Small Business size standard of 750 employees.
