Description
A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Businesses for this proposed contract for a Small Business competitive set-aside. The proposed contract will be to perform Geotechnical Drilling and Laboratory Services thro ughout the United States. The proposed contract will be Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract and will require geotechnical drilling and laboratory testing equipment and expertise. Work will include soil test borings, rock coring, instrumentat ion installation, subsurface exploration, Inspection of Subsurface Explorations, a complete range of geotechnical laboratory testing, field geotechnical observations and evaluations and associated reporting, surveying and safety. The project is planned f or advertisement approximately December 2005 with approximate award scheduled for March 2006. Contract duration is estimated at 3 years (base with option). NAICS Code is 562910; SIC code is 4959; size standard is $12.0 million. The total estimated contra ct value is approximately $ 3,000,000.00 maximum with each task order ranging from approximately $5,000.00 to $50,000.00 each. All interested Small Business should notify this office in writing by email, mail or fax by 18 November 2005, 4:00 p.m., Louisv ille time. Responses shall include: (1) Statement that company does indeed qualify as small business; standard is $12 million annual receipts, (2) Past Performance information about completed projects of similar size and scope, and (3) Resume of drillers: number of years experience, type of equipment experience (4) List and description of drilling equipment: make and model (5) Describe companys approach/capacity to perform projects on a nationwide basis. If qualified Small Business firms do not respond, t his planned contract action will be converted to full and open competition.
