- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District Request for Quotes (RFQ) to award a commercial contract to purchase propeller shafts for drift collection vessel Driftmaster at Caven Point, New Jersey. Physical Description of Propeller Shafts (Each): Driftmaster Shaft Length: 15- 6-1/2 , Diameter: 4-1/2 inches, Sleeves: Two (2), Sleeve Diameters: 5-1/2 inches, Sleeve Lengths: 33 inches and 26 inches, Keyways: Two (2), Other Features: Tapered with threaded shanks at both ends, Materials: Shaft : Stainless Steel Aquamet 22, Sleeves: Bronze, Certification: All materials and machining is to be performed in accordance with American Bureau of Shipping Standards (ABS). The shafts shall be ABS inspected and approved and bear the ABS stamp and number. Number of Shafts cover ed by these specifications: Two (2). This is a restricted procurement. The applicable NAICS Code is 336611 with a small business size standard of 1,000 Employees. All responsible offerors may submit a quote to be considered. The RFQ must be received by 2:0 0PM on 21 November 2005, (EST). Paper copies of this solicitation if any, will be available or issued. Faxed copies are acceptable. Registration Requirements: DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) app lies to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Department of Defense CCR Database prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
