The Navy intends to procure on a sole source basis from EDAK, Inc. of Melbourne, FL, rack mount transit cases to support a FEMA project of the Special Communications Requirements (SCR) Division of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) St. Inigoes. The cases include 1 each (unless otherwise indicated) of each of the following EDAK part numbers: 7803.6612.2025, 7803.6612.2026, 7804.6612.2048 (2 each), 7805.6612.2052, 7805.6612.2053 (5 each), 7805.6612.2054, 7806.6612.2087, 7807.6612.2050, 7808.6612.2061, 7809.6612.2057, 7809.6612.2058, 7810.6612.2058, 7811.6612.2023, 7812.6612.2070, 5800.7049 (26 each), 5800.7050 (4 each), and 5800.7522 (8 each). The transit cases range between two (2) and twelve (12) units in height. The transit cases have a depth of 26? with a slide-out inner frame. They include two (2) flush mounted spring loaded handles, shock mounted chassis, two (2) manual pressure relief valves, locking star knobs and removable inserts, and side walls. All of the transit cases are engineered to contain specific communications equipment. The cases are designed to hold up to 200 lbs depending on the specific transit case. These cases meet specific stackability and durability requirements providing protection against severe impact shock with efficient vibration isolation for off-road applications, an essential capability due to operating areas. The identified equipment meets the sponsors design specifications, and architecture infrastructure for transportation and storage of the systems electronic components. The cases are interchangeable to ensure commonality and facilitate Life Cycle System Management; with the existing cases and communication equipment that has been integrated into the vehicles network systems. Only the requested equipment will meet SCR Division?s needs. The required delivery for thes items is not later than 30 December 2005 based on award of not later than 16 November 2005 and shall be shipped to NAWCAD, Webster Field, St. Ingoes, MD 20684.
