- PACKING AND CRATING SERVICES: Provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials for the preparation of personal property of military members and civilian employees for movement or drayage and related services at Moody AFB, GA. Services include, but are not limited to: (1.) Premove survey, servicing of appliances, disassembly of furniture, if required, packaging, inventorying, tagging, wrapping, padding, packing and bracing of household goods in shipping containers at owner?s residence or at contractor?s facility. (2.) Drayage from storage warehouses, air and surface transportation terminals, military installation shipping offices and ocean or river terminals/piers to contractor?s facility, unloading from the delivering carrier?s vehicle, handling into contractor?s facility, drayage to owner?s residence, decontainerization and unpacking of loaded containers of household goods and placing goods in appropriate rooms as directed by owner, unservicing appliances, assembly of any disassembled articles and removing shipping container, barrels, boxes/crates and debris from owner?s residence and drayage of empty containers to contractor?s or Government facility. The solicitation number for this acquisition is FA4830-06-R-0003 and is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. The North American Industry Classification System is 484210. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 4212 and the small business size standard is $21,500,000.00. The contract will be for a basic period upon award through 31 Dec 06 with four one-year options; the total contract period will not exceed five (5) years. This solicitation is a competitive RFP and award will be based on commercial procedures found in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. Award will be made using Price-Performance Tradeoff in accordance with FAR Part 15. The evaluation factors will be past performance and price. The solicitation will be issued on or about 7 NOV 2005 and will be available to view and download on the EPS website (www.eps.gov). PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE MAILED. Be sure to check the solicitation after issuance to verify the correct proposal response date. All amendments will be posted on the EPS site as well.
