- sources sought synopsis: Solicitation number FA8601-06-T-0026 is a Sources Sought Synopsis. A further request for quote (RFQ) may or may not be issued. Responses to this notice are due by NOON (Eastern Standard Time), TUESDAY, 22 NOVEMBER 2005, to the point of contact identified at the end of this notice. The United States Air Force, 88th CONS, Wright-Patterson AFB OH, is contemplating the procurement of 1 each micromechanical test device. The minimum specifications and requirements for this item are attached. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334519; Standard Industrial Classificaton (SIC) is 3829; and Federal Supply Classification (FSC) is 6635. The small business size standard is 500 employees. Firms responding should indicate if they are a large, small, socially and economically disadvantaged, or woman owned business. The general definition of a small business is one that is independently owned and operated, is not dominant in the field of operation in which it is proposing on Air Force contracts. Small business respondents should provide information on the services they propose in order to assist the Air Force in making a set-aside decision. Responses will be reviewed to identify firms capable of fulfilling the Government?s requirements. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Air Force does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this synopsis or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Respondents should not construe this synopsis as a commitment by the Air Force for any purpose.
