- This is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The actual RFP, with information and specifications will be available on the Gateway website (see instructions below) after December 02, 2005. Please note that all dates are estimated. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. The Buy American Act and the Berry Amendment apply. ITEMS: PANEL MARKER. NSN: 8345-00-242-4378. Quantity 700 each. In according with military specification MIL-P-13850 dated 29 September 1969. Two deliveries will be made to New Cumberland, PA, 180 days after award is made with two (2) first article samples due 90 days after award. Details for panel marker will be available with the solicitation. All materials are to be supplied by offeror. Solicitation will be available for downloading on or after December 02, 2005. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after (December 02, 2005). From the Gateway homepage, select ?Search RFPs? from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles (C & T) as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Gateway technical assistance is available at admin_support@pgmail.daps.mil. In addition, to receive E-MAIL NOTIFICATION OF SOLICITATIONS you must register with the USER PROFILE feature of Gateway. Important Note on Foreign Content: The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as (The Berry Amendment) impose restrictions on the DoDs acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and specialty metals (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies. A System for vendors to request specifications, patterns, drawings etc can be retrieved from DSCP website. The contractor fills out an on-line form and the request is emailed to the TDR area and stored in a database table.
