- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 13.5, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The applicable NAICS code is 541990 and the Small Business Size Standard is $6.0M. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through the current FAR which include Amendments from FAC 2005-06 which became effective on October 31, 2005. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and an additional written solicitation will not be issued. The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) has a r equirement to remove and dispose of one Floway single stage water pump and replace with new Floway single stage water pump. The Statement of Work is as follows: The Contractor shall provide all labor and materials to remove and dispose of off site one Floway single stage vertical turbine condensing water pump (approximate length is12?-6?, diameter is12?) and associated 100hp, 460v, 3-phase weather protected motor and replace with new Floway single stage vertical turbine pump and high efficiency weather protected motor. The new Floway pump and motor shall match the existing pump and motor characteristics as follows: pump: serial #6802380-1 56247-1-1, 2950gpm @96? of head, 1780rpm, 16mkm, type VTP, stage 1, overall length approximately 12?-6?, 12? threaded column assembly, 416 stainless s teel line shaft and coupling, motor: 100hp, 3-phase, 460v, frame a444uph, serial c2884-00-169, 1770rpm; The Contractor shall provide all labor and materials to remove and dispose of off site two (2) Peerless single stage vertical turbine condensing water pumps (approximate length is12?-6?, diameter is12?) and associated 100hp, 460v, 3-phase weather protected motors and replace with new Peerless single stage vertical turbine pump and high efficiency weather protected motor. The new Peerless pumps shall be single stage 16HB/12? diameter column assembly with 416 stainless steel shaft and coupling, the new motor shall be high efficiency 100hp, 460v, 3 phase 1765 rpm; after each new pump assembly has been installed the Contractor shall test and insure the pump and motor assembly operate correc tly. Note: Contractor shall visit the site to verify pump and motor data (especially the required length of the new pumps) prior to ordering new pumps and motors. The Offeror must complete the Offeror Representations and Certifications required in FAR 52.219-1 by using the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at the following website: http://orca.bpn.gov. The Offeror is reminded that as of January 1, 2005, it must provide Certifications and Representations online at least annually via ORCA. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items (OCT 2003), is hereby incorporated by reference. FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items (APR 2005) is hereby incorporated by reference. These references may be viewed at www.arnet.gov. A single award will result from this solicitation. Award will be made to the r esponsible Offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will provide the greatest overall value to the Government considering price. When award is made a firm fixed-price purchase order is anticipated. The Government will not pay for any information received. The following notice is provided for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Sh ort-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at the prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
