Description: The Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) intends to procure US Flag Breakbulk and container service to include terminal handling, all stevedoring, loading and discharging of Department of Defense cargo between the port of Jacks onville and/or CONUS points and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The proposed contract period will contain a base year and two, one-year options. A solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about 28 November 2005, and may be obtained from SDDC website. A proposal conference is tentatively schedule for 13 December 2005 . The proposed will be issued pursuant to FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items procedures and will be posted on the SDDC website, http://www.sddc.army.mil and the Army Single Face to Industry website at http://acquistion.army.mil.
